Ingredients in our Baby Skincare

Lovekins is made with nutrient-rich Australian superfoods that nourish, heal and protect your baby’s skin.

kakadu plum

Kakadu Plum

The Kakadu Plum is the highest source of vitamin C on the planet:  in fact, it has 100 times more Vitamin C than oranges. Vitamin C is essential for the growth of healthy skin. It’s scientifically proven to help heal many skin conditions and protect skin from damage.

Kakadu Plum provides strong antioxidant protection, and is 1,333 per cent richer in antioxidants than the blueberry. It offers both water- and oil-soluble antioxidants, making it ideal for skincare. It’s also full of vitamin E, zinc, magnesium and calcium – which help promote healthy skin.

The Kakadu plum contains phytochemicals, which are chemicals that occur naturally in plants. Two of these phytochemicals, gallic acid and ellagic acid have some profound medicinal properties, providing anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory properties that help keep your baby’s skin healthy.

Found in the Top End of Northern Australia, the Kakadu Plum is an ancient superfood used for thousands of years by the Indigenous Australians for both its nutritious and medicinal benefits.

“The Kakadu Plum is not just unique to the Northern Territory, but a very small area of the NT, grown in a very harsh environment. That’s what causes all its unique antioxidants and concentrations where it lives in this really harsh wet dry tropics where it’s extremely hot and extremely wet for a small time of the year. Once you go outside of that, the tree doesn’t last”. David Boehme – Wild Harvest NT
